Feminist struggles in Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan

The event about the feminist struggles in the South Caucasus took place on 28 October. The aim was to provide information on the current situation in the region in order to make feminist struggles visible on site.

one struggle – one fight

Feminist struggles are the same in different nation states and are not the same struggles at the same time. In what form does the patriarchy in the South Caucasus manifest itself? What are the local feminist struggles about?

The aim of the event is to make the struggles of activists* in the South Caucasus more visible, to create a sense of unity in the struggle and to demonstrate the interdependence of the German state in this geopolitically important region. Our message, which should be brought to the fore by this event, is that the patriarchy is attacking FLINT* people all over the world. These attacks are partly different depending on place, society and system, but can always be traced back to the patriarchy in connection with the nation state and capitalism.

In order to make a start, to approach the confrontation with patriarchy, capitalism and nation state in an internationalistic way and to make the interweaving of these components visible and to put them into a context with our everyday struggles, we have to talk about it. In order to build a good network in the South Caucasus and in the best case a common organization, we want to give a positive perspective on the common struggles.

Like a rhizome, we want to contribute to connecting every part of our struggles.
